2021年1月19日，European Chemicals Agency(ECHA)宣布将2种物质加入高度关注物质候选清单(SVHCs)。Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern(SVHCs)现已包含211种物质。
新加入的两种物质用于如油墨或墨粉等产品，以及用于生产塑料和橡胶轮胎。由于它们具有生殖毒性，可能对性功能和生育产生不利影响，以及对后代的发育具有毒性，因而被加入候选清单。
Details of the substances newly added to the Candidate List are as follows：

从2021年1月5日起，投放欧盟市场上的物品中的高度关注物质(SVHC物质)浓度若超过0.1%（质量分数），则该物品的供应商须向欧洲化学品管理局(ECHA)进行SCIP通报。信息须提交至SCIP数据库。SCIP通报是欧盟废弃物框架指令（WFD，指令2008/98/EC）对欧盟中的物品供应商的要求。
在2021年1月5日之后，若新物质被添加至高度关注物质候选清单(SVHCs)，且该物质在投放欧盟市场的物品或复杂对象中的浓度若超过0.1%（质量分数），则该物品供应商需在下一次供应或投放市场给消费者时、或进口时，提交新的SCIP通报或更新先前提交的SCIP 通报。
